Mencap in Kirklees
Mencap in Kirklees helps to support those with learning disabilities.
A Huddersfield-based organisation, Mencap in Kirklees is a local charity helping people of all ages with learning disabilities to live purposeful and fulfilling lives.
In addition, Mencap in Kirklees also supports the families and carers of an individual with a learning disability, with an aim to bring people together through day centre activities, trips out, one to one support and also employment training at the Waverley Community Café.
Offering a full range of services, Mencap in Kirklees is a small but dedicated team in the local area.
We’re donating £250 to Mencap in Kirklees to help with events and entertainment and the continued running of the Waverley Community Café.

We selected Mencap in Kirklees as one of our shortlisted charities due to the volume of nominations received.
Local to our very own Huddersfield branch, we are proud to be able to support a Huddersfield charity and hope our donation will help contribute towards upcoming events that the team are planning.
